GM Version Keys are coming!

Hi everyone, we have started sending out the keys to redeem the GM version for free. In the next few hours the system will automatically send an email to all backers. It might take a while, please be patient.

How to redeem Steam keys
1) Open your Steam client.
2) Click 'Activate a product on Steam'.
3) Copy and paste your Steam key into the text box below and click confirm.
4) If successful, click the redeem button to add the GM Version DLC to your library.

If you have any problems, write to us on Discord and we will help you.

Constructo on Steam!

Hi everyone,

Steam's approval process has finally concluded successfully! From today you can download Constructo - Dungeons Builder directly from Steam at this address: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2199560/Constructo__Dungeons_Builder/

The main page contains the Player version of the game and there is a DLC for the GM version (paid).

The Player version contains everything you need to start using Constructo, build your own maps and participate in games as a player.

The DM version differs in that it offers the possibility of hosting games on your PC by providing a join code to share with other players.

In the next few days you will receive an email containing a code to obtain the DM Version DLC for free. In the meantime you can download the Player version and start building. Maps saved with the Player version are fully compatible with the DLC.

We are happy to have reached this goal despite the difficulties encountered and we hope it is the same for you.

In view of the release on Steam we have fixed a couple of problems: the loading of objects at the start of the game has been speeded up and should no longer cause a temporary freeze of the software and also the distance meter is now more precise.

In the meantime we are working on the VTT section:
- character management
- automatic initiative
- dice roller 2.0
- fog of War
- distance cones
- custom pdf loading
- editable lights (intensity, color, on/off)
- dark vision

Hello everyone, it's been a long time since the last update, too long! 
About ten days ago we made an official announcement on Constructo's discord server, but since not all our backers are part of it, it's time to publish it here as well. 
Below is the text of the announcement:

"Hello everyone, 
as promised a couple of days ago here we are. I won't repeat again what happened this past year, but I will summarise it by saying that we took a 'break' from Constructo, which unfortunately lasted far longer than planned. Fortunately, however, this hiatus is now over. We thought long and hard about what to do next, and we have come to a conclusion. It is with great happiness that we would like to announce that the development of Constructo - Dungeons Builder will resume! 
"How will this be possible? Didn't you run out of money? Where will you get it?" These are some of the questions we know will come.
To make this happen, we have to make some changes, starting with the business model. 
How will we finance the development? One of us will work part-time for an external company and we will use part of the income for Constructo. As a second source of income, we will release the software on Steam, for a fee, instead of the previously planned subscription system. 
As a consequence, the KS rewards will be adapted to the new policies, in order to provide you with additional benefits and/or features, but we will talk about this over time. Those who supported us on KS will receive keys to download it for free from Steam, along with other keys to give to their friends. Moreover, in this way Steam will become the official distribution channel (goodbye Google Drive!).
Another change necessary for the project to continue to exist concerns its scope. We need to narrow the scope of the features we promised to implement and keep some aside for the near future. We will also discuss this together from time to time, to try to balance the production time with what you players require.
The guilt for not being able to provide the software as planned and on time will of course remain with us, but we hope at least to make you all happy with our software!
We look forward to hearing what you think about it and are open to any questions."

Hello Backers,

It's been a while since we've been in touch, and there's a lot of water under the bridge. That's why we are here to update you on what is happening these days.

Unfortunately, many of you are not part of our discord server and that is why you were not able to read the announcement we made a while ago (https://discord.com/channels/937030940243415111/983728946187227177/1116387950826094592), that's why we quote it here:


"Hello everyone ,

We hope you are all doing well. Today we would like to share with you an important update regarding our main project: Constructo - Dungeons Builder.

Over the past few months we have been working hard to develop Constructo, but unfortunately we have come to a point where we are facing some unexpected difficulties. The development process has turned out to be more complex than we anticipated, requiring more time and resources than we initially thought. We have done everything we can to overcome the obstacles we encountered along the way, but the reality is that the development time has lengthened considerably.

This has led us to a difficult reflection on our financial prospects and the future of the company. Along with the development time, the time required to reach the monetization stage has also lengthened, risking our very existence in the marketplace. Your trust and support have been crucial to our journey, and we want to do everything we can to honor the commitments we have made to you.

To deal with this complex situation, we have decided to take a creative approach. We have resumed work on an old prototype video game of ours, which we believe still has great potential in the current market. We will devote resources (our time) to this project in order to bring it to market and generate revenue. Revenue that will be crucial to further finance the development of Constructo and to preserve our original vision.

At the same time, we recognize the need to access additional resources to help develop Constructo. Therefore, we have been considering the possibility of divesting a small percentage of our company to professional lenders. In recent weeks we have been moving in this direction, beginning to make contacts with companies.

It is important to emphasize that both decisions were not taken lightly. We know that you have invested your money and your trust in us, and we deeply apologize if these choices will mean a pause for Constructo. Please understand that we are doing everything we can to preserve the future of our main project and, consequently, your own trust in us.

We want to assure you that our commitment to Constructo remains firm. We are determined to overcome these difficulties and deliver to you a product that lives up to your expectations. Your patience and support at this critical time is critical to our future success. We know we may fail, but the desire to give you what we have promised drives us forward.

To show you the goodness behind every action we take, and to apologize further for the problems we are communicating to you with this announcement, we have decided to go further. As mentioned in the past, we are on very good terms with the team at RPG Stories 3D World-Builder VTT (https://www.rpgstories.net/), and after getting in touch with them we were able to reach to an agreement. Our backers will be given keys to their early access phase so that they can enjoy their product and all upcoming updates 100% for free. In this way we want to provide you with the ability to continue using a World-Builder/VTT for your gaming sessions. We only need some time to handle this arrangement internally, so we expect and promise to have you receive the keys by RPG Stories' Team in approximately the first week of July. You will receive an email from [email protected] with your free key and with instructions on how install and use the software."

Constructo Alpha: a new version is waiting for you! 0.3.0

Hey masters and players,

how is it going with Constructo? Are you finding the very rare bugs present on the Alpha? 🤥😂

In case you don't find any, rest assured because version 0.3.0 of Constructo - Dungeons Builder has been released!

But let's see now what has been improved/added 💪

Thanks to the new version, 0.3.0, you will have a much larger terrain (about 16 times 😎) to put all your creativity into action!

In addition, the paint texture and object functions have been rehabilitated, and both expanded in their content. The new terrain has been optimized in every aspect, so we do not expect high performance impacts given its new size, but we are still in Alpha, so expect everything 😛

Also, other changes that do not directly affect the terrain have been integrated in this version, such as the camera movement, which has been made more fluid, or like the brand new underwater effect that will allow you to unleash the bloodiest battles in the depths! 

We also managed to integrate changes to the overall lighting making the gaming experience more pleasant.

We wish you good hours spent on Constructo,
